Driving requres total concentration.. cell phone s sterios even others in the car are bad. This why we have graduated licences in some areas. I drove for 50 years and taught drivers ed for 25 years. now i let transit get me out.At what age do most people begin to drive?

Please don't anybody compare the training and experience of a pilot, who also has to be well rested, fit, and proven sober before he is allowed to fly, to the average driver on the road. Drivers, as a group, cannot multi-task safely, and those that believe they can show little respect for the lives and property of others on the road. And that doesn't even take into account the fact the multiple tasks a pilot balances are tied in to the operation of his aircraft.
