I just took my dog for a walk...and on the roads there is a very thin layer of frost...and on some parts ice....my husband and I were wanting to go somewhere today that is an hour's drive away.....should we go with the roads like this? Or do we have to stay cooped up at home?

Major roads should be better traveled than back roads, so if you really want to , there's nothing stopping you. Check your local weather and traffic info first tho, you don't want to go if there's a major possibility you may be hurt somehow.
