You wont be able to refill it unless it has a pressure release valve on it. The propane that is in there should be ok. If it burns, it is ok. Once empty you will have to dispose of it and replace it with a newer style bottle.

look for a date stamp and take it to one of those bottle swap places, they will recondition it
