Have we gone to far with political correctness?
Wow, that is a tricky one. My first thought would be that without medical expertise you could have made the situation worse for the crash victims (spinal injuries etc have to be dealt with by experts) but I know if I saw a situation like that, where the car was about to go on fire, I would go in there too and do my very best to save them. I think that is only human nature. If you are disciplined for it then it does seem unfair but I would focus only on the fact that I had saved lives and if I received a reprimand for it, then so be it! You're a hero in many people's eyes!HE SENT YOU HOME TO GET OVER THE SHOCK , YOU AND HE DID RIGHT
Would a bald tire make your car shake?
go and speak to your union. If you are not in one, it is your problem. He sent you home because you had had a shock. Did he tell you that you were suspended? did they say you will face disciplinary action? If not dont worry.

Under health and safety at work, you have the ultimate last say in your safety. If you decided that you were in the position to save there lives without endangering your life good on you.If more people were prepared to put there lives on the line for other our world would be a better place.
Tell your boss what would he have done in your position, if he turns round and says that he would of left these people to burn and die then may be he should be in another job.
Doing the RIGHT thing is more important than a job. If they were to fire you for that, you could probably sue their butts off.
Rear ended on monday , head on collision today , what to do ??
I'd suspect he really sent you home to recover from the shock. If you did get disciplined for breaking a rule, I'd expect it to be a "bollocking" for form's sake, followed by a hearty pat on the back.Poll/ how many would attempt to go to work in bad snowy ice weather?
Well done, m8!
Does any1 no where i can get a breathalyser fitted in my car?
When it comes to personal health and safety the law states that you are ultimately responsible for yourself but you also have a responsibility to take reasonable care for others around you. Given that it is unlikely that your company has a specific policy for attending RTA's in which others lives are in imminent danger, you can argue that you would have been neglecting your role to provide reasonable care for others had you left them in the car, its all a balance of your personal safety versus the safety of others. Good work.I would not worry I think he sent you home to get over the shock of it well done
