Is it illegal in Texas to have a dvd monitor in the front of an automobile to where the driver can watch?

Question:
Someone I know has a suv with a dvd player and screen in the back of the vehicle. They want to put a monitor up in the front so they can view what the kids are watching. Is it illegal in Texas to do so?

What is the easiest way to go to the toilet while driving a car? To avoid wasting time stopping I mean?

Not at all, providing the proper interlock device is installed, which renders the screen inoperative unless and until the vehicle is in park and the parking brake on full. Otherwise it would be illegal. The only time you can have a monitor on full time while driving in view of the driver is when you have a dedicated back up system with a back mounted camera and one of those fancy mirrors with a monitor built into it..

What is it called to ride on the hood of a car?

Help I need idea and points for my debate. Title:Drivers should not use cell phones when driving.?

If it isnt currently, then expect it to be soon. Common sense would tell you that having one in the front is not a good idea anyway. There are far too many distractions for the driver as it is, having a screen to watch movies on is disaster waiting to happen. Since there are still very few satalite tv systems out there, it should be really easy to monitor what the kids are watching, after all, a dvd movie is just that, a movie, and wont change.
Good luck

Why do truckers use coke to clean their windshields?

ps, if you are really worried about it, talk to your local law enforcement department, they can give you the lowdown on such. Better yet, just tell yourself no monitors up front, the kids lives are far more important than you watching what they are watching.

I wonder how many people know about this?

No, it is not illegal yet. Just like driving while talking on the cell phone is not illegal YET. Now what STUPIDITY would anyone want to put a player where a driver could watch it while driving, especially with kids on board. Seems more concern with enjoying the movie instead of the kids safety. And like the thousands of drunks that I have heard of saying, "I have been driving and drinking and haven't had a wreck." Course, they forget to end it in yet. Well, when I see you in the accident with the DVD player up front and the kids bodies mangled, and you hear someone laughing at you that will be me, driving by.

Do my car have an Alarm?

Of course, the questions of how to break in a site or to get on a site banned from school, is always the person asking for someone else. Sure.

Why DO drivers speed excessively?

Sure and the driver will NEVER look at it while the driver is driving but only when the vehicle stops. Get real. All it takes is a couple of seconds to swerve on to someone.

Buster seat?

it is illegal and you can be charged with dangerous driving or driving with undue care and attention,as said all front mounted units are reguired to be connected thru a park brake interlock switch that makes them inoperative unless the brake is on.as for needing it if the movie ends or gets stuck im sure the kids will let you know in a milli second
