Cars offer you the most freedom and also the most responsibility. I'm from the US (steer on the left and drive on the right...UK, Hong Kong, etc. steer on right and drive on left) so, if I'm going to be in a rural area (less public transportation), I like to drive. It covers any waits for random public transportation and I'm not afraid to drive on "the opposite side." However, if there's great public transportation between buses, trams, and railroad, I love using those. There's no worries about parking, foreign driving/ parking rules, or finding my way.

Drivers license test???

Being someone who travels the bus a lot, having to sit next to the freak who mutters to himself and believes he can achieve Zen by meditating on the bus and smells of cigarettes (at least I -think- it's cigarettes).
Then there's that guy who always complains about how some cop beat him up just because he has a scar on his face, and Armageddon will come tomorrow, and true racial equality will be achieved.
And then there's the kid who says NOTHING. He comes on with his Mom, face planted in his Game Boy. His Mom talks to every one. The kid somehow moves up and down the stairs, not tripping, still making another level on his Game Boy.
Then there's the fellow who wants to convert me to Christianity. Please, just leave me alone.
