question about serpintine?

I would say a toss up between France and Spain as on several occasions while driving in those countries i have stopped at crossings and either been tupped from behind; or the pedestrians look like you are kidding. They then wait for you to move off and sneak round the back to make sure they're safe. I think in both countries pedestrians close their eyes when crossing and hope for the best. The lowest in Germany as people even wait in front of a red traffic light as a pedestrian if there is no car to see....which sounds stupid but is good as sometimes car might suddenly appear from a curve.

(In the United Kingdom people even cross the traffic light when they see a car approaching on purpose..it is a sort of "sports" to rush over the road).
