Question:
I know it handles and controls the car better but the question is, how much faster can you travel on snow with it than without it?
Answers:
A long question about cars which probably has a short answer...?
it provides a little better tracktion but as far as speeed its veratibel becus its depends on with wheals are "catching" and wich arnt anywas i dont recomend that you try to go fast on snow becus awd has nothing to do with your braking systemwho needs to use a booster seat?
you shoudln't really go any faster. All cars have 4 wheel braking. NO one ever thinks about that. AWD will help you get going in the snow. It may even help you corner better, but it won't help you stop. Keep that in mind. The main benefit of AWD in the snow is that you are less likely to get stuck. People in thier SUV's become over confident and speed around in the snow and then realize too late that they can't stop when they see another car infront of them.Road pricing good or bad idea?
I would like to caution you.4 weel drive does make the vehicle handle a lot smoother at high speeds, how ever they are usually a high center vehicle, that has been know to slide and tip over, if corners are taken at high speeds.
If all the stop lights are out is it suppose to be a 4 way stop?
with awd you usually don't have to put chains on in the snow, with a frount wheel drive you would always have to put chains on. With chains you can only go i think like 10 miles per hour. now when you fwd if you are talking Four wheel drive, the only difference is that you can shift in and out of Four Wheel Drive, as opposed to AWD which is always on. Personaly i would chose the Four Wheel Drive, because it is better when your not in the snow or the sand to be in 2 wheel drivewhat makes a driver so stupid when he or she is driving?
To start off with you shouldn't go faster that is why insurance company's charge MORE for a FWD, owners think they are good to go anywhere and that isn't the case. FWD is there to help youhandle the emergency but you can still hit black ice or go off the road. FWD is much better the AWD in most any condition.
I worked for a insurance company and dealt in claims.
i have just booked my driving test?
It depends on what the speed limiter of the vehicle is. A lot of sports cars have restricters that are set to 155mph. I'm not familiar with the speed restricters on SUVs or trucks. You can go as fast as the restricter will let you go in either an AWD or a 4WD (I'm assuming that you are talking about 4 wheel drive and not front wheel drive which uses FWD). But there's really no limit to speed on a 4WD compared to a AWD or a RWD or a FWD other than the speed restricter and the ratings on the tires that you are using (I suggest Z rated tires for higher speeds).More Questions & Answers ...
