In most of America you must go with the flow, I personally don't like the idea of getting rear ended.I ride my bike against the flow of traffic and I really don't give a s**t about what the law says. My primary responsibility is to keep myself alive and if I have to break the law to do it so be it.
When I'm riding against the flow I can anticipate, read and react react to any dangers,
with my back to traffic all I can do is hopefully find a soft place to land.
