Question:
when coming up to an intersection and you want to turn right on red, yet the 'stellar' driver in front of you, stops at the light wanting to go straight, and at the same time stops in the middle of lane so there is not enough room for you to be able to make a right on red.
most times the the other lane that goes straight is empty and could have been occupied the 'stellar' driver, thus letting traffic flow around him . one would have to actually pay attention to what was happening around him while driving. now the question: what should the penalty be for 'stellar' driver??
Answers:
A conversation with you would be my suggestion!
Improving driving anticipation and perception?
Death. Is there no MOT type test in the USA?
Yet another "stellar" driver trying to park inside their tailpipe.Do you still have to tap your brakes when you drive through water or is that only on older cars?
HORN!when do you use your high-beams?
none, as he is not under obligation to be at the other lanehawling livstock from state to state what are the licence plate laws for stock trailer?
nothing. stop being so impatient and wait for the damn light to change. sheesh!Would you drive a Mini-Cooper with run-flat tires up to Lake Tahoe in the winter?
prohibiting the flow of traffic and it is actually a traffic violation, but i don't think you could charge the stellar driver with it although you should be able to. it often refers to slow drivers or broken down vehicleswhat dose it mean when u have a dream about someone gets killed in a car crash?
well, sometimes drivers stay in that lane because they are going to turn right somewhere next block...just let it go and think that you are a much better/understanding driver. my question: what should be the penalty for the "stellar drivers" that pass a yellow light when there will not be a green left arrow for the ones that are in front?? That should be punished! In the commercial where the pickup truck is "spit-out" by the Loch-Ness, why no airbag deployment?
Legally, there can be no penalty against the 'stellar' driver unless it's a right turn only lane, in which case it's an infraction if the driver goes straight in the lane.Did they stop making turn signal on cars and trucks?
Now that the legalese is out of the way, the penalty should be a horn honk and even a middle finger if there are no little kids around. We must live in the same area, because I encounter that same 'stellar' driver most every morning and it really ticks me off! Some days I wish I had a crap car like a '72 Pinto or something so I can rear end said driver and puch the offending car into the intersection. ;-)
None. Did he do anything wrong? No. He did not know that you wanted to turn right on red. You just have to wait. No biggie. That probably cost you a whole 20 seconds. About the time it takes to read my answer.
Vandalism--Help! What can i do to catch these creeps!?
NOTHING....THERE IS NO DRIVING LAW SAYING THAT PEOPLE GOING STRAIGHT HAVE TO GO TO THE EMPTY LANE FOR DRIVERS TURNING RIGHT.How many car accidents have been caused by people sneezing? Fatalities?
Well, you should come experience the intersection of death. Its right outside the tech college I go to. The world collection of bad drivers travels through there all day, every day. I almost get hit EVERY time I go through there. Its one of those "tricky" plain green lights, where you have to yield to the people going straight. My car is nice and beat up, so I just keep going, cutting the fuc ks off. They can either avoid me, or get hit! Its funny watching them when they realize they're an as shole!Phase 1: May turn right on red after stopping.
Phase 2: "I don't stop for stop signs if it's clear, so I don't have to stop at the red light if I'm going to turn."
Phase 3: "What the...?!! You have the red light and you're stopping?! Keep moving!!" (leans on horn)
Phase 4: "Why doesn't he move over to the passing lane if he's going straight?!! Doesn't he know it's his duty to look at my turn signal and get out of my way so I don't have to stop for this red light?!!"
who's idea was it to put traffic lights on the slip road? ,to the motorway and why.?
You are now an official spoiled child. You are to be restricted to a moped, if that, until you mature, if ever. Or at least until you learn to wipe your own runny nose and don't need mommy's help to go potty.
Seeing as how the "stellar" driver is stopped at a red light, he is not actually interfering with the flow of traffic. As long as the lane he is in is not marked as a turn only lane, he has every right to go foward from whichever lane he chooses to be in.
Does my Renault Scenic have ABS?
just be glad your not trying to turn right on a red in Quebec. its still illegal thereYou should just wind down your window and smell the fumes... This offence is far less annoying than the driver that pulls out into the left hand lane, or the person that drives in the left lane at 10 mph below the speed limit. In the real world, the right hand lane is for driving, the left for passing, but the left hand lane hand turned into the "Me!" lane.
how old do you have to be to sit in the front of the car which has an air bag on the passenger side?
There is no "penalty." Just deal with it like a mature, responsible driver. The world doesn't revolve around you.More Questions & Answers ...
