Best experience is real experience. Couple your driving lessons with real life driving such as going shopping, daytrips etc. Of course that will require an accompanying driver, insurance etc but its worth it. If you have friends or family with a car, beg them! The driving instructor will teach you how to drive and your friend will give you true life experience.
