Question:
You've seen them. They start out in one lane, tailgating some poor driver, decide that "they aren't going fast enough"-then they switch lanes and repeat the procedure. Honestly, this is how they get down the road. Is this how they were taught? Do they honestly believe that this is good driving or demonstrating driver skill? Do you? Let's hear it.
Answers:
Which is the safest car on the road?
Basic rule of the road...Slower traffic move right. It's amazing to me how many have forgotten this.
It would be SOO much safer if everyone would just remember the basic rules of the road.
It takes less effort for the slower car to pull right than to have the faster jump right and then back left to where the FAST lane is.
When can you not cross at a crosswalk?
There are a**holes in life, and when they get behind the steering wheel of a car they are still a**holes. These are the people who believe it is okay to drive like this. These are also the people who cause the majority of the accidents out there.
No one who took a driver training course would drive like this, unless they completely forgot everything they were taught.
Really depends on the flow of the traffic. I mean if the person in front of this so-called driver is going 40mph when the speed limit is 50 then we all know why the driver behind is tail gating closely and passing he/she. As long as this person follows traffic and does not speed his way across, there is nothing wrong with what he/she is doing.
Theres all kinds of reasons but most of the time it's just to get to their destination faster and honestly don't we all sometimes rush ourselves at times? Could be important like a meeting, a doctors appointment, rushing to school, emergency to the hospital. All are valid excuses, I am just saying that sometimes there is more that meets the eye. On the other hand if it's just some reckless maniac trying to "show off" then most likely they will look stupid when they get pulled over for reckless driving.
Why their is parking at bars, when their is DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE rule?
Cutting people sometimes sure is rude but it happens all the time. Its how you deal with it that makes you a better driver.
Why are the lines on the road only white or yellow?
Driving in the left lane is intended for faster traffic, and not only on the interstate. I think the traffic problems today result in many people not following that simple rule. For instance, the right lane is typically slower because of the people turning right (drivers need to slow down to make the turn).
It is also intended for slower drivers so that the through traffic in the left lane (vehicles not turning) can maintain a speed in which to keep traffic flowing smoothly. This, in simple principle keeps the traffic moving.
The general rule is that when someone gets on your bumper, that it is a sign that they want to get by. When this happens, the driver should let them by - period ! If people tailgate just to be jerks, than that's a different story. I don't have anything against the slower drivers, but if your in no hurry, please get in the right lane and take as long as you wish.
Let's face it - if someone is in a big hurry, they are going to do whatever they can to get ahead of everyone in their way, why not just let them by and eliminate more problems?
