We can't completely. Unfortunately, some people just don't care about the puishments of drink driving enough not to do it. Or, they think that they will be ok, so they drink and drive and guess what? They aren't always ok and people are killed.The only way to really stop it is to ban driving. Otherwise there are always going to be drink drivers.

i own a repair shop,and we all worry about this subject,,i have two daughters that drive,and it crosses my mind every day,, but as for a solution to it,,honestly i don't think there's one,a drunk person thinks there a god or something,and they can drive as good drunk,as they can sober,i live in a kind of a small town.and drinking around here is like a way of life,but if we don't come up with a good method of putting a stop to this problem,,its going to become a lot worse,, if a drunk runs over one of my kids or hits them,,they better hope they put them real far away in jail,,because i wouldn't let it go ,,but it is a serious problem,we have one in our family that drinks also and we cant even stop it from happening,so i am open to new suggestions on this one,its like a sickness and unless we can come up with a cure,,all we can do is watch out for them,,because their going to be out there,its getting real close to x-mas,and we all know what that means,,just everyone be care full,good luck,i hope this help,s.,,have a good and safe x-mas.Here is a controversial topic? We cant. My Grandmother was drunk (yes her) and she died.If therewas a way to stop them all. We would have already.

I think we should crack down on drunk driving alot more. If you are caught driving drunk you should get jail time and lose your license for a while no matter what, no exceptions. That would really help to reduce the problem.
