Question:
I live in Miami and visiting family for about 2 months. Is it ok to leave car parked (has the club, doors locked) in a residential area in Miami Beach(no garage)? Anyone travel a lot?
Answers:
lowering car speedometers poll?
Your going to leave it on the street for 2 months? I don't know about there, but around here they get ticketed the first week and towed the 2nd, also, it will look like a abandoned vehicle and either get towed or stripped or both :(what is the minimum speed limit on uk motorways?
whereever you leave it, I would disconnect the battery. that way if it's a good battery it may still have a charge when you get back
check at the local airport for long term storage, ours is free :)
As long as your in a safe area. It might also be handy to park it at a lot if the price is reasonable.
The roads are going to be icy tomorrow morning...?
With all you said on the car it should be fine. Be sure to take out EVERYTHING.
Also do the following;

-get an oil change when you return (oil can sludge over time if left sitting, dont be alarmed if the car smokes when you first turn it on when your back)
what are the blue reflectors on the roads for?
-throw a little bit of dry gas in the tank before you leave. (will keep condensation out of tank and keep gas fresh, but be sure to top off when you get back)

-Check tire pressure upon returning as tires can lose air by sitting around.
-Have a friend or neighbor keep an eye on it as well.
What to do if you get stuck in snow or slide around on ice while driving?
-If you want, notify local police that your car is being parked there for an extended period so they do not tow or ticket it.
What is the most important thing to remember?
Not sure how safe it will be but I'd recommend you get a can of Sea Foam at an auto parts store and put in the recommended amount for the gas in your tank, and then run the car for 5-10 minutes. This will keep the gas fresh while you're gone. When you park your car, turn the wheels all the way to the curb.
Make sure there isn't some type of parking ordinance in that area.
I think it would be better if you could park it at a friends house or something since you will be gone so long.
Why is Ambulance spelled ECNALUBMA when we see an ambulance truck?
I'd find a secure lot to park it. Leaving it on the street for that long is just asking for trouble. In a couple of weeks the dust buildup will mark it as free bait for theives. It may also be illegal to leave it on the street that long without moving it.The Club is useless as an anti-theft device. It's pretty hard to break, but a thief will just cut the steering wheel with a hacksaw in about 5 seconds and toss it out the window.

I travel a lot and ALWAYS lock my car in a secure lot or a friends locked garage.
