It's not illegal to take your Dog in a car, so i'd very much doubt it's illegal to have a dog in the cab of a lorry. I know a few lorry drivers who take there dogs with them, they do tend to make the cabs' smell a bit "Doggified" though.

as far as i can remember ur not allowed to have any loose objects that may cause obstruction (if u stop suddenly will it fall forward and cause u an injury and my lead to an accident) so yes get a seat belt safty harness for your dog for safty reasons..
i know this is a law because i used to do HGV and was told about having a T.V loose in the back of my cab even tho it was wedged down

it is one of those where you are OK until something goes wrong.For example if you were involved in a accident and having a dog loose in the cab was seen as a contributing factor, then you could be held liable for any legal proceedings that may follow be it criminal or civil/
