Why the brake pedal doesn't work?

Question:
In some movie, the actor step the brake pedal, but he cannot stop the car. Why?

Answers:

Please tell me if this is possible?

Someone let the brake fluid out. No fluid, no pressure on the brake pads.

Question about 3 point turns...?

either they drained the brake fluid out, or they cut the cable

Car accident?

Well, in the movies (and unfortunatly in real life) if you cut the break lines or drain all of the break fluid out, the breaks wont work so whomever is driving has no way of stopping. In movies they use this to really hurt or kill off a character when it is their turn to leave the script. If you want to notice something else intresting about cars and movies... next time you watch something through the windshield of a car in a movie, take a look and see if there is a rear view mirror. In most movies they remove the rear view mirror for the filming so that you can not see the camera crew in the back seat... sometimes they digitaly put them back in (in newer movies). I just thought you may find that tidbit of info intresting as well and I hope that I have answered your question. :)

Can Onstar be installed in any car?

If you cut the cable or drain the fluid, the brakes will not work when you hit the pedal.
The odd thing is that they never notice untill they need to apply them in an emergency.
