Why do people who drive SUVs and big trucks not understand the concept of a compact parking spot?

Damned cyclists are a law unto themselves. They ride 10 deep on country roads and hinder all the traffic and they don't need any insurance so if they hit you and damage your car then you have to pay for the damage.

AM I messing up my car??

The highway code states that there is no passing on the nearside of a vehicle unless it is turning right or traffic is moving in queues or queued.
I assume as you were stuck behind a bus you were queued and the cyclist or motorcyclist or anyone else with a small enough vehicle is allowed to pass you on any side they like so long as there is room to do so.

UK Law, can I carry a small child in my car when I have no seat belts fitted?

It is annoying but not against any law.

is it legal to pull over inside the white solid line along the side road if no other regulatory sign posted?

Cyclists Law states that cyclists can ride at any speed on the pavement, come up silently behind pedestrians and frighten the **** out of them, go through red lights and - if they have an accident involving a vehicle - the entire fault lies with the motorist.

Whats the maximum number of hours an employee can drive in a company vehicle?

I'm not sure about that, but I do get so annoyed by cyclists who insist on riding on the pavements. It is illegal to cycle on British pavements unless they are clearly designated as cyclepaths. From school kids to fully grown adults, all of them should be on the roads and all should (although not legally but in my personal opinion) wear cycle helmets.

what's the safest baby car seat to buy?

Cyclists are meant to follow the highway code just like any other road user. No undertaking, obeying red lights, no using zebra/pelican crossing to move to the other side of the road, no using the pavement, use of lights at night. However, as others have said when was the last time you saw one which obeyed the rules? Any yes, if you should hit one with your car...yes it will be your fault. A lot of them are a bloody liability, yet the police do nothing about it and drive right past. Should bring in on the spot fines I say...

what is the difference between good and excellent IIHS safety ratings?

i accept all of the above answers.but as a motorcyle rider of 3yrs,cyclist of 14 and car driver . i have worked in a cycle shop for the last 6 yrs.a motorcycle or pushbike can undertake as long as the outside motorist is staitionry or doing under 10mph then it is legal..as for the cyclist, bear in mind he may be a car driver as well and has full use of the road as well as you do.if cyclist break the law so much then how come more speeding tickets and driving offences are commited more than 5 time than cyclist/motorcycles.
