Question:
If society doesn't want people to speed, why do they make cars that go over the speed limits?
Answers:
Where can I find an online driving test, that won't cost me?
have you ever driven a car that can only go 60 or 70 mph? its not very safe because of that limitation. if you dont have enough power to go faster than that, you dont have enough power to accelerate at a reasonable rate without flooring your vehicle, causing premature wear and undue stress on the engine, as well as most likely getting lower fuel mileage. and if you just put a chip in all cars to limit the speed to 75 or 80 mph (the highest legal speed here in texas), you can still go that fast through city streets, where its much more dangerous than driving even 90 or 100 on the interstate. basically, its not practical. if you want a car that wont speed, get an old, underpowered econobox and get a computer chip to limit your speed and see how it works as an everyday vehicle.I need knowledge about maharahstra state road transportion?

Not only that, how would you "limit" a cars speed? If someone was on a 60 road and wanted to overtake a 50 mp/h van/truck. As soon as they hit 60, the car would stop speeding up and if there was a car coming the other way, well, better call the morgue...

Do you have any general driving tips for me? Especially have a problem with Parking?
Actually, there are computer chips in some models of cars that cut your engine off when it approaches speeds of about 100 miles per hour. Its a way to prevent cars from going ungodly unsafe speeds. But my removing the chips cars may go as fast as possible. Driving in a school zone and driving on a freeway. Going the same speed limit you would be speeding on one. Not on the other. So where is the medium? What do yall think abut people driving around in pick up trucks , ton , quarter ton half a ton ect ?

Hey, I have wondered that for years. I think most dont worry about the speeding, just like giving out the tickets, cuz the obvious solution to the problem is just like you said, and no one has ever suggested that, not someone in the power to change it probably. common sense always works. yepits a free country ,a selling point to make money the list can go on,but the real point is just use your better judgement when driving one.
I'm part of society, and I'm here to say, I welcome you to speed, please feel free.
What exactly are the state laws for bike riders who ride on the street?
This question has been asked many times in different venues, and it all ends in the same point.revenue for local cities. Although the government likes spending millions on studies and researching to say "Oh it's a safety thing"...it's all in the spin.

Granted, there's numerous other violations that could be a bit more enforced such as red light running...Red light running is one of those issues that there's no "do over" when you have an accident.Whereas speeding is something we all do about 70% of the times.
Ironically a friend of mine which is a police officer doesn't care so much about speeding, rather red-light running. Even times he tells me "OH when these 2 cars collided, they weren't speeding...I mean, when you slam the brakes, the moment of impact must have been at 25MPH, so in reality, they weren't speeding".Now what occured prior, is another story.
Like everything else, there's a time and place to speed and sometimes with the flow of traffic you don't realize your going faster than you would, but it create congestion when people suddenly start to slow down for no reason.

What I find amusing though, is when manufacturer's put speedometers that show up to 160MPH, when humerously, their 4 cylinder engines won't go past 118MPH with a good tail wind. But I've actually encountered people who thought their vehicle could go 160!!

Can you turn off the driver airbags in a 1999 Chevrolet Prizm?
Ironically I have encountered some people online where are adament that they never speed. It doesn't matter if they are on the passing lane, they honestly believe there's nothing wrong with that, yet later wonder why people are cutting them off using the emergency lane as a passing lane.
I have a friend like that...she's very holy about speeding though, as if it were a religion...ironically she's had 2 accident in situations that if she sped up she could have avoided it. Yeah a real saint...even cheating on her husband...gotta love that irony I say.
