Question:
I was backing out of a parking space to let another car take my space... there was also another car coming into the small parking area. As I was backing out I hit a car that was not parked all the way into their parking space , they were only half way in their space, and the back of their car was partly in my path, which I could not see because of the other cars.
Am I still at fault for this accident?

Why is it that bridges and overpasses freeze first during winter?
How can "other cars" prevent you from seeing what's behind you? Were they in your back seat? Of course you're at fault. It's your responsibility to make sure that your path is clear when you are backing up...or going forward for that matter. That could have been a child that you ran over....or are you going to say that the child shouldn't have been there?I suggest that you take responsibility for your actions, and quit trying to pass the buck
is my driving record screwed if i accidently went through a red light?
I am afraid that if you hit a stationary vehicle, however stupidly they have parked, you are liable. The following thing is recommended if you really feel they are at fault. If it is empty then get out, sigh and make a big deal of writing down your details to satisfy onlookers. What the onlookers dont know is that you have wriiten, on the paper, "stupid place to park, wally!!"

should have just sped away...like i did ... or if there was people watching then just wrie anything on a a paper and put it on his windshield... so people will think u did a good thing hahaaI am afraid that you are at fault because you are BACKing out and the other is stationary. No matter how stupid the stationary car was.

If you follow the advice of the first answerer, you MAY lose, as people sometimes write down YOUR license # and then check to see if you did just what he said. It's an old trick that just about EVERYONE knows about.
