But, whenever I change lanes where there are cats eyes present on the road, I have to cross in between the cats eyes, for some reason I dont like to actually go over them (and thats not cos I think they are real cats OR eyes - I simply have to drive between them as oppossed to over them!)

HiNot Sure about cars breathing in. A few years ago I was following a mate of mine down to Matlock Bath in Derbyshire. He was on a Suzuki 750, I was on a Honda 500. As we were overtaking traffic along the 7 Sisters Gorge. His bike must have breathed in to get through the Gap between a car and an oncoming Bus.
