So there was a car parked right on the street in front of my parkway?

Question:
I didnt see it and hit it... who is responsible?

Answers:

Drunk driving Statistics??

If the car was parked legally, unfortunately it is your fault. The only defense you have is if it was parked illegally, the car should not have been there.

What happens when you drive a car at full speed and then pop it in reverse?

that would be you. it doesn't matter if it is parked IN the parkway if it isn't moving and you hit it it is your fault.

Easier Freeway On-ramps?

If the parkway is technically your property (or private) then it should be partially his fault - he was parked illegally. If it's a common thru-way, then unfortunately it would be your fault for not seeing it. But depending on what state/city you live in, it could be listed as a "no fault" accident, in which neither of you are to blame, and you'd be responsible for your own car repairs. But this all depends on whether you hit it and took off, or waited around for the person or left a note. If you ski-dooed outta there and someone saw you, you're screwed.

What is it like driving in the States?

both of you. you for hitting it an them for impropper parking.
