Question:
I turned 17 in January and this is my THIRD time taking my driving test! For NJ its required you do 6 hours of driving with a driving school, which I did. Took my test, failed. Then I did another 6 hours to get used to driving better. Took my test again and failed parallel parking because I "knicked" a cone. This is my third time and if I fail I don't want to wait 6 months. I KNOW I'm a good driver but I just get SO nervous. When I did my 2nd set of 6 hours my driving instructor said I really didn't need it because I was really good. I'm trying to prepare myself for tomorrow but I'm making myself even more nervous. I took mine at Rahway the first 2 times .. and now I'm going to Edison/Kilmer. Has anyone been there?
How can I pass my driving test?
Ah, does anyone have any tips/advice for calming down? And when I'm doing my test? Besides practicing tomorrow because I am, deffinatly!
Thanks guys! I hope you can help me out.

Try Kava (piper methysticum), a natural sedative that calms people who don't like to fly (among other things). Probably not enough time to find a GNC or herbal shop before your test, so try chamomile tea. And stop worrying about it. Just think of all those tickets you'll have one day ;-) And turn the wheels toward the curb (helps to keep the vehicle from rolling away somewhat. If you're facing downhill, turn the wheels so they point toward the curb - if you're facing uphill, assume the car will roll backwards and point the wheels away from the curb). Good luck, and definitely is spelled definitely. Thank God it's not an English test.UK drivers. How so speed cameras work?
calm down, you are not going to the gallows, the instractor will check your current registration and insurance, than make youturn on the turn signals and blow the horn,
in my town nobody passes the driving test first time,so what, keep going back till you get your licence
Sounds to me all you need to do is keep telling yourself your a good driver because you said it and your driving instructor said it so feel confident. Believe and it will happen.

Hill parking--turn the wheel so that the car will roll towards the curb if the brakes fail.Waht has happened to the standard of driving in the uk?
Don't worry about little things. If you know you can't parallel park, tell the instructor but try anyways. I totally bombed my parallel parking (I was three feet from the curb)--but the tester didn't care because it's not a safety issue, and he knew that I knew I sucked at it. I can always go find a parking spot where I don't need to parallel park.
stop thinking about it so hard, when it comes it comes. Watch some t.v., listen to some music.
How do i get rid of spiders in a car?
Some people suffer more from test anxiety than others...do positive self talk."I can do this!" Take the test one instruction at a time, remembering the details of each thing you do. It will be over in no time. If you make a small error, don't dwell on it because it will become a distraction and you'll make another mistake..just get on with it....if your instructor told you that your skill level is good, then you just have to work on your confidence. Just think, after you get your licence you'll be operating a car alone with no one else to rely on. Passing a driving test is only the beginning. You also have experience now in taking a road test, so you know what to expect.
Don't forget to BREATHE!
As for hill parking, you only have to remember ONE....uphill WITH a curb, wheels LEFT....all other hill parks, with or without a curb.wheels right....
Yes, remember which way the car would roll, and turn the front wheels so they would touch the curb.
Good luck!!
