Question:
I was turning out of a parking lot and had the steering wheel all the way to the right and the car stalled, I turned off the car, and restarted it but when I put it into drive it stalled again. I turned off the car and straightened the steering wheel and restarted it and put it into drive and it worked. I thought Ive heard of this happening before... am I right? or should I be worried?
Answers:
Why aren't school buses equipped with air bags or at the very least, seat belts?
could be a loose wire. I had a car that when everytime I hit a bump the engine would cut out. Turned out to be a loose wire or rather a wire that was split in two and the bump would cause the ends to split apart just enough to cut out the engine.Check your power steering pump. If it is low on fluid or dysfunctional in any way...it can cause the engine to bog down when it is idling. In car people terms that means: The power steering pump could be bogging down the engine below a sustainable RPM while it is idling.
Is it true that you don't HAVE to turn off your engine before filling your gas tank?
Another possibility is that the idle on the engine may be set too low. This can be adjusted quickly and easily by knowledgeable car people.
