Important question for a mechanic Please!?

Question:
O;K, this is it!....My boyfriend....has a Grand Prix 97 fully loaded "OK" well tonight I drove it somewhere and when I went to roll up the (automatic) window, "It wouldn't" so when I got home I told him about it so then he got into the car started it and the window rolled right up for him,OK so then the next night I drove it bamb the same thing happens again to me "it rolled down with no problom but won't go back up" so then I get home and tell him again but only this time it won't go back up for him either, so here it is: we have a huge bet on it so I need a honest answer Please: He said that....I...broke it by pushing the button to hard,(Ididn't even hardly touch it ) and I told him that it was a part going out on the car because it was just wore out. My jimmy done the same thing on mine years earlyer and my dad was a mechanic and fixed it. But he still insists that I BROKE IT! I mean come on here, I would have to really slam on that button to brake it Right? your opinion Please!

Why don't cyclists have lights??

I'm with YOU! That car is 10 years old. NO way you broke it. G.M. window switches a famous for going bad.

Can you determine a bad driver by how they use a shopping cart?

Tell him it's HIS baby, and to shut the **** up!

What is the safest thing to do if a deer crosses in front of your vehicle?

if its the switch maybe it broke when you were the one pushing it
if its the motor then its just wore out
you can tell its not the switch if the interior light dims a little when you push the button, or if there is any other sign that an electrical connection has been made. like a click , bump , hum or something

how does adding gravel on the road during ice storms help traction?

if the switch looks undamaged, and seems to physically move normally, then it failed electrically. either that or the motor itself is failing. either way i dont see how you did anything wrong. it is a 10 year old car, and things do go bad.tell him he owes you.

cause and effects of cell phone accidents?

It is probably the electric motor (electric motors do not always just go out immediately but will do what you have described or a wire connection which finally disconnected completely.
