All I hear about is the ~1000 people who die in Iraq.

What gives?
Answers:
If a city or town doesn't have enough signs on the street or roads, who can I address?
Because death is big business. Think of all the money that exchanges hands and all the taxes the state gets from all the doctors, lawyers, car dealerships, funeral parlors, gas stations, body shops, therapists and emergency personnel! What does ABS (anti braking system) mean ?
Your safety is compromised by allowing complete morons to drive because there is money involved. What a nice feeling, isn't it?
What is the lowest driving age in georgia?
You're comparing apples to oranges. One is an accident and one is being done on purpose. We have a choice in Iraq....What if you get pulled over while in the fast lane?
A study in 1999 estimated that 16000 people died from taking over the counter non-steroidal anti-inflametory drugs (NSAIDs) like aspirin, aleve, and ibuprofen. What age do you think teens should drive?
Personally I'd like to see the number of road deaths go up slightly. I think we should raise the speed limit on interstates and crack down on people who get in a lot of accidents.
What is the minimum legal width of a garage?
There is risk in everything you do. How many people die falling off a ladder? How may people die crossing the street? How many people die choking on food? How many people die swimming in water? How many people die from doing drugs? How many people die from every lethal disease known to man? How many people die by their own hand? And on and on and on.And besides, don't you think that wholesale slaughter in Iraq along ethnic lines is a really bad thing? Do you? Well?
I think Wisconsin should have certain times of a day when a cellphone cannot be used when driving?
What about the ones that are killed by Drs and hospitals?Say you want to turn left out of pizzahut but the car across from u want to turn right?
Because most people are stupid.Could Sentry Safes make a reproduction of a safe/key set from years earlier?
If everyone drove a Volvo 240, then 0.1 people would die of traffic accident every year.
How much is a serious scar from a truck accident worth?
Also, they should replace the Humvee's in Iraq with Volvo 240s. An improvised explosive device would have no discernable effect on a Volvo 240 and the wagon has plenty of room for the soldiers weapons and equipment.
We choose to get on the highway, the troops have no choice about where they are sent. Its easier to point the finger away from us rather than to enforce the laws that would make the highways safer, get off the cell phone or even just act civil.
I cannot do anything about it, so I don't lose sleep over it. Sure it's sad, but there are far more important things to worry about, that you CAN do something about.
did u hear about the accident in HUNTSVILLE, Ala.?
40,000 ppl in the USA die each year on the roads? And you have now a population of 300 million. Thats awful. You must have a very big culture of alcohol, speed, lack of seatbelts, aggression, etc. So stupidity appears to be the major killer - most 'accidents' are nothing of the sort, they could be easily avoided or there affects minimised by some simple acts. Amazing tho, hearing the "reasons" why seatbelts dont save lives! I thought it was bad here in NZ, with our young driver licensing age (15) and drinking age (18), coupled with all of Japans surplus fast fours and turbos - every kid here owns a WRX or GTS-T Skyline. Yet with 4million ppl, we rack up 400 deaths a year on the road. Not much better per capita though, 30% maybe. Stay safe in 2007 people!More Questions & Answers ...
