I am stopped behind a car wanting to turn right into a driveway. I manage to get around the car, however a car on the opposite side of the road (crossing my path) has driven into a driveway, and as a result i have clipped his back tyre as he was entering the driveway. Is he at fault for failing to give way to oncoming traffic?? Or am I for hitting him?? Thanks

I believe you are at fault. If you had clipped his front half it would have been his. I'm not getting a clear picture here of how your accident happened. Are you saying he turned left in front of you? Did you pass the car in front of you by pulling into an oncoming lane? If the car infront of you is turning right and the oncoming car is making a left turn and you whip around the car in front of you that is turning right and clip the rear end of the oncoming car that was making a right turn (his right) then you are deffinitely at fault. You may have right of way but if someone is in your way you do not have the right to ram them.truck issues parked and sliding down the hill help!?

When changing lanes, the driver leaving one lane to enter another is TOTALLY responsible to insure that the lane is free of any traffic to a degree that the change can be made safely without causing any endangerment to traffic already in that lane. In fact, entering that lane should not require breaking by any of the traffic already in the lane!
