Is it illegal to use headphones while driving?

I know that you should replace the tire as soon as possible, and the donut is meant only to get you home or to a garage for a new tire.

OH NO!! It isn't safe at all!
The donut(spare-tire) is not a regular tread tire, nor the proper sized tire. It is only a "quick-fix" to get you to a "service-center."
Most "donuts" are only "rated" for 45-55MPH-Max, and only good for "short-distance" travel(200Mi.) in order to get you to a safe spot, for repairs.
You should avoid all travel on the Interstate, while riding on your "donut"(spare).
Remember this, a ''donut'' can't handle "High-Speed" thus, how will it handle the road conditions, and if you had to STOP suddenly, would you want to rely on that "donut" to bring you to a safe and sudden STOP, with all of the other "Idiots" that are on The Interstate?
Avoid all Interstate and Intrastate travel, use "rural" roads to get you to a safe location to get your tire repaired or replaced.

Your right a donut wheel is only to get you to a service center. But you have people who drive on them for ever. There should be a law to not allow them on highways at a speed greater than 30mph.When i get a car with them in it i go get a full size spare.I dont like the donut.Take care when useing.

do youthink that doctors are accountable for their callousness?

it is absolutely not safe to travel 70mph on a donut wheel.they are generally rated a @45mph,and should be replaced a.s.a.p.on the way to the the garage i would try to stay off the interstate because it is also unsafe to travel 45mph on the interstate.if you have to do it stay in the right hand lane and use your emergency flashers to warn upcoming traffic.

Where can I find stockpiles of off the road and farm equipment tires?

The rating listed in most auto manuals is 55mph max. It is a temporary patch to get you to a tire fix store, not a replacement tire

Why do people drive around with their children out of the car seat?

Top recommended speeds for "donuts" are usually below 55 mph. If not stamped into the donut itself, it is likely in the owner's manual of the vehicle.

What is smart about a Smart Car?

With reduced traction, handling and braking surface, and general stability, don't do anything while donutting-it that reduces reaction time and invites a situation more serious than a flat, i.e. speeding, hard driving. Slow down, and get the proper tire back in service ASAP.

I would avoid the interstate if possible as these tires are not meant for high speed I would hate to go 60 with one on.

Why is it not illegal for a dog to roam freely in a vehicle when a human has to wear a seatbelt by law?

You should read your owner's manual or just go get a new tire. I think the recommended speed for a donut tire is under 55. Be safe!

can anyone quate a court

They will tell you that there is no such thing as a dumb question. They are wrong. I'll assume for the moment that you are serious for the benefit of all the people who may read this answer because they are looking for the right answer. And that is the ONLY reason. There is usually a warning sticker on the spare tire, as well as a warning in the operators manual that tells you not to drive more than, say, 50 miles, and no faster than, say, 45-50 miles per hour on the space-saver spare. That tire has only one purpose. That purpose is to keep the car off the ground just long enough to get you slowly and cautiously to a place where you can replace it with a regular tire. No farther, and no faster.
