Question:
Help Me
Answers:
How do you parrallel park and back into a parking space?
I agree with the answer above put the car in reverse then in drive then reverse again to regain traction, build up inertia to carry you over the blockage, and prevent to much wear on the same spot creating an even deaper hole. If you can, get someone to help push the car out. Also don't press hard on the accerlerator a light press will do the trick. Cleaning the snow out is a good idea however if the ground beneath is really most you may end up more stuck therefore I recomend carrying kitty litter, sand or some other hard substance (not ice melt as it dissolves too fast to give you the traction you need) in you trunk and pouring it around you drive tires and along a line out of the snow.Buy the right tire!A soft compound all season tire works very well and much better than any snow that I founf yet.Goodyears I swear by them and is all I will buy.
Did the Hummer lose street cred. on New Years? What a worthless, weak automobile!?
keep trying to move the car back and forth. try not to let the wheels spin too much. Also try to clear the snow out of your way to help the car move. When should i stop driving if at all?
The other answers are all correct, especially learning to 'rock' a car, reverse, forward, reverse forward. A piece of carpet under a slipping tire also sometimes gives just enough traction to get out. Planning is crucial with winter driving - be prepared. Carry a folding shovel in your trunk, sand (which also gives weight and helps you not slide as much on ice), warm clothes (hats, mitts), and snacks, water, blanket in case you are really in trouble!More Questions & Answers ...
