The tread seperated completely from the tire and did about $2000.00 damage to my '02 Chevy truck. I sent the tire to Firestone but they refused to pay for damages stating that the tire was under inflated or over loaded neither of which is the case. I had them send me the tire back and I still have the other three and you can see where the others are also seperating. Firestond did have a recall on the Steeltex for this problem but on Fords only. These had 55,000 miles on them but still had good tread. I hate to just let it go and not make Firestone stand behind their product. Any thoughts?

find the original recall notice, the federal courts made them recall all of the infected units, not just some, dont let them weasel out. next time pick another brand of tire no product should be kept if it jepardizes your safety.More Questions & Answers ...
