Is bulletproof glass bulletproof forever, or does it eventually wear out?

Question:
When I say forever, I am referring to it’s durability in using it repeatedly. Since it is bulletproof, does that mean it is *always* capable of stopping/deflecting bullets, or does it mean it is like a one time thing? For example, say a police car that has bulletproof glass windows gets caught in a shoot out. If the car windows get shot six times, does it still hold the same durability as it had before it was shot, or can it, (after a lot of hits) eventually break?

I was in a car accident earlier today...why am i still shaking?

first of all you watch too much TV. Second , there is no such thing as "Bulletproof Glass" but there is a thing call "Bullet Resistant Glass" which means it will stop a bullet of certain smaller sized calibers like a .22 , .380 , or a 9mm but bullets of larger calibers like .40cal. , .357 , .45 the glass will slow it down but 2 or more well placed shots are going to come through. also "Bullet Resistant Glass" comes in levels 1 through 4 most people come in contact with levels 1-3 almost everyday weather you are in the drive-through line at the bank (level 3 glass most likely) or at your neighborhood stop and rob (level 1 plexiglass or level 2 laminated like the windshield in your car) but level 4 usually goes to important government officials like the president or foreign diplomats like the popes bubble mobile or the very rich and famous. So at the risk of sounding long winded the answer to your question is no it will not last very long after the first shot no matter the caliber it is only meant to protect the person behind it so they can make an escape

My car's license plates were stolen in a mall's parking area. Are they liable?

it would handle several shots in different places in the glass, but a few shots in the same spot will cause it to fail.
