Question:
I am doing a project where I must design a footbridge over a road on a university course (civil engineering). Obviosuly I could work out what the tallest vehichles are in the uk, and build my bridge tall enough to accomodate them. But does can anyone point me towards some legislation etc, which will tell me what the minmum height of my bridge must be by law. Any help in this area would be much appreciated. Cheers. Jonny
Answers:
Does anyone know about the law about having chains in BC or Alta?
A little bit higher than the vehicles that travel below it!Can you determine a bad driver by how they use a shopping cart?
I'm not 100% sure but I think it's about 14.5 fti don't think there is a legal height but most hgv are about 14ft.but then i know one that is only 8ft.as long as your bridge is clearly marked i think you will be OK.
