Does the 2001 Limited Edition Chrysler PT Cruiser have a "black box"?

Question:
By black box I mean that it records when you crash and it can be used against you in court. I watched a CNN video on it and apparently most manufacturers don't inform their buyers about the box. It has another name something about "recording device". I was given my grandparents' car when they got a new one and I'm not sure if mine has this black box.

Answers:

what are you doing wrong if your car stalls whilst driving manuel?

People don't realize that crash data recorded by On Star systems can be used by insurance companies to reduce or deny claims. I'm sure most insurance companies wouldn't use it against their clients... or would they?

Why should people clean off the ice and snow on top of the car?

the computers store some information when a crash occurs. it's not a seperate recorder, it's the same computer the car uses to control engine and body functions.
