Why is my "air bag" light blinking?

I own a 1993 ford mini van and the airbag light is blinking. I lent my car to my sister and she didn't say anything about being in an accident. No signs of one. What else could be causing this?

i own a repair shop,and they have sensors on them ,and id say one of them is going bad on it,this is what causes the light to flash like that,you,ll have to find out which one it is to stop if from blinking like that,a good repair shop,can probably find it real fast for you,,good luck i hope this help,s.
