Question:
A fellow wants to sell me some tires at an excellent price, but not being knowledgeable in this area, I am not sure they will fit. He has either some P195/75 R14's or some 185/70 R14's. Would either fit my car? Which one would better fit my car?
Should I pass on the deal? What does Aspect Ratio mean, in laymans terms?

How could be better develop DUI laws to deter people from driving drunk?
Go to tirerack.com, they have an interactive page that will show you , your car, with different tires, and if you would like even different rims, and this will also give you an idea of average prices that you will be seeing and hearing from dealers.Go to http://www.tirerack.com and you can size tires for your car and read reviews.
The car stalled when the wheel was turned all the way to the right. Common?
What kind of vehicle is it???? I've always run bigger tires because it makes the vehicle ride and handle better.Aspect ratio is the height of the sidewall of the tire in relation to the width of the tire in millimeters..so 195/65 means the tire is 195 mm wide and the side wall is 65% of that.... but different manufacturers measure differently so even though they are marked the same sizes can differ slightly. 14, by the way is the size of the wheel in inches. Both tire sizes would probably fit on your wheels, but follow your cars recommendations
why must cars be made of metal? woudln't some other substance be much safer?
You can fit the 185/70's and your speedo will still be accurate but not the 195/75 's.Also a 205/60 would be ok.
first number is width second is percentage of that width in relation to sidewall
How fast do you need to go to turn a car over?
a P205/60 r 14 will fit....also a 195/60r14...the 195/75r14 will be too tall and the 185 will cause slight loss in handling. I sell tires and it is a common switch for us to go to a 1956014 or a 205 60r14More Questions & Answers ...
