Is it illegal in ontario to drive with a broken windshield?

Question:

Answers:

Why at a petrol station...?

if you were pulled over by police you might be required to pass a ministry of transportation ontario safety inspection and you wouldn't if the crack/break was in the drivers field of view. understanding that a windshield is a major part of a cars structure and is most important in the case of a rollover, i would have it fixed as soon as possible.

Broken? Yes. Cracked? Maybe, it depends on the crack. Any crack that crosses the driver field of vision means the windshield must be replaced.
