No there shouldnt be. Yes, there should be testing done because there are some older people that truthfully should not be driving. If you ask this because of old drivers that are slow and get in accidents a lot, I don't think their should be a max age. Instead I think that their should be an age, let's say 50, and after that yearly they have to get a physical check up. I know the doctors do like an eye test, hearing test etc. If theirs a total of 5 tests, they have to at least pass 4 out of the 5 with at least a 85% or 90% good senses.Jerking the steering wheel to the right or left can cause the vehicle to skid.?
Most statistics I've seen tend to be kinder to the older drivers than the younger, so I think (based just on the numbers) that you're more likely to see the minimum age raised before a maximum age is ever considered.However, that said, there is no doubt that advanced age can bring on problems with driving which may not be recognized by the driver. As such, it would probably be a good idea to have tests and physician evaluations happen more often after a certain age.
When you get to be that age would you like your priveledges taken away because someone somewhere is in worse condition than you? Personally I plan to be 80 and still going up 80 feet in the air to focus lights at my stage....what will that mean? I'll have to continue driving to work. Should I be mandated to no longer drive because I'm 80, I believe I will have a serious problem.

Put that age cap in there, and I can guarantee you I will still be driving as well as most of the rest of the people of my age and attitude.

No. If you are going to discriminate against a group of drivers, you should pick the one causing the most problems, and it wouldn't be determined by age. However you'd have immediate lawsuits.What happens when you drive a car at full speed and then pop it in reverse?
That should go by individual drivers not by there age they should be cheked for there hearing there eye sight and there reaction time all these things do start to go when you get older and wheather you like it or not eventualy you driving ability will go away with age.I have a military id do I still need a state drivers license?
Yes but not solely on age! Many elderly have medications, night blindness, to include slow reflex movements, poor eyesight and bad hearing.I would request a physical each year to evaluate competency.
