Question:
I live in Florida,we get a lot of older drivers on our roadway's and I think its a hazard! Some are 80 or even 90yrs old,and can barley see over the dashboard. They drive under the speed limit, drive in the fast lane, and slow for everything including yard sales. They are overly cautious, and have very slow reactions....I think the driving test for seniors should be given "EVERY YEAR" and, they should be required to reach a speed of 100 miles per hour!
Answers:
how and what would i need for a voice recorded loop for cb?
Driving is a privilege, not a right. Too many of the younger drivers think that they're entitled to it...too many older drivers think that they can still handle the demands. I think that younger drivers should have a longer period with their permit, shouldn't be permitted to have any sort of distractions (i.e. cellphones, more than one passenger under 18, etc.), and should they get into a sufficiently severe enough accident (i.e. totally their vehicle, massive property damage, putting someone into the hospital...leave it up to people more knowledgeable than me to figure out that limit) where they're at fault, have them lose their license until their 18. After 21 or so, mandatory vision, hearing, and road tests every five years. Once you hit 60 or 65, bump it up to once a year. Oh, and this whole nonsense of allowing the elderly to reapply for their license by mail? Yeah, that's b.s. I really wish that there was some sort of national standard in place for how licenses are distributed and renewed. Sure, the implementation costs of a federally issued license and data base system was pretty huge, but don't you think that at least setting up some basic standards at the national level would help? Some might say that it would be very difficult to get everyone to comply, but if the feds were to threaten a non-compliant state's MFT funding, I'm sure it would jump in line pretty quick!Do I need 4 studded snow tires on a front-wheel drive vehicle? Or will 2 front ones suffice?
I agree! They can now renew their license without even going to the DMV now!!they should have to pass a hearing, sight, and reaction test, and beable to drive with the flow of traffic on the highway i guess your right 100mph and at 80 years old the licence should go! and it should be given every 6 months afer 65 years old

I actually agree with you...
what is the stopping distance for a bus?
I agree, there should be a road test required after a certain age to keep driving. I used to drive all day, every day for work and had constant near misses with people would who should have given up the keys 10 years ago. Here's a real scary one for you. My father in law suffered a stroke and still hasn't recovered. He can't walk more than a few feet without a cane, his balance and coordination are terrible, and his eyesight is "part time', but Michigan allowed him to renew his drivers license.how does a car anti-theft alarm work?
Perhaps you're right, say after the age of 70. Believe it or not, however, people under 18 are the most dangerous on the road. All that energy unbalanced with inexperience and it's almost giving a loaded gun to a child. Safe and happy driving to you!what age do you thing a child should start driving?
