Question:
If I am pouring gasoline from a plastic container through a plastic funnel into a vehicle, does it need to be grounded or bonded to avoid the possibility of static electricity causing the fuel vapors to ignite ? I would also appreciate any web sites that talk about different scenarious of this nature. Thanks all

We have a Suburban, does anyone know how two Britax car seats would fit in the second row?
What no no no if youre that concerned about simply get a static cling wrag for like laundry and wipe down the area youre working in. Trust me you really have nothing to worry about unless youre gonna be pouring the gasoline for like hours at a timeyou should be alright. what you should do is touch something else metal before you fuel up and after getting out of your car.that will eliminate the small static charge from sliding out of your seat. never use a cell phone either at the time of fuel up there have been a few cases of the small charege from them igniting the gas vapors.
does anyone know of a company that makes wheelchair accessible recreational vehicles?
Always err on the side of caution. If you have any reservations, touch the body of your vehicle, AWAY FROM THE GAS TANK INLET! This will aleviate any static built up in your clothing.what are the forces acting on a cab floor of an truck?
One of the most dangerous and common mistakes is when someone pulls up to this gas pump, gets out and starts filling their tank. But while the tank is filling they jump back into the car, thus "recharging" the static in their clothing, then getting back out without grounding themselves again. Then when they grab the pump nozzle, the static sparks from their hand to the nozzle in the fume area, just above the tank inlet, causing instant fire and potentially an explosion!
Always ground yourself, no matter what!
Should we really be using a 5 point harness car seat up to 80 lbs?
