That is normal. There is a sensor that will shut your engine down so it doesn't catch fire. When you put your brakes on that hard, there is a good chance you might hit another car, guard rail, etc. So, it's a safety feature and your's works!! Congrats!it has a safety switch in it mine did that when i had an accident the switch has to be flipped
