I am a foreigner in the States...?

Question:
My Toyota tercel car has been running all right for almost two years, however, recently it came up with a lot of problems. And I am afraid that one day, maybe my car will disert me on the road...so my question is if that happens, what shoudl I do, call the tow or what? (heard that towing servicing is very expensive) I just want to be pre-prepared for the unexpected...thanks for you all

ummm.... cars?

See if your insurance has a roadside assistence program. Also get a check up on your car maintinence. Your instruction manuel will tell you what you can do so you can save money. Toyota does last a long time, as long as you take goo care of it. Get a jack and stick it in your trunk. Also get a real tire chnging thing since the ones you get with the car are very crappy. If you live in a colder place, put a blanket and some food and water in a safe place. If your car does break down, dont leave it. You make it harder to get it fixed and put yourself at the risk of the elements. And pull off the road all the way so nobody hits you while you work on your car. Just be prepared and drive for the conditions.

are seat belts required if driving a one-ton truck in Texas?

Depending on your auto insurance policy, the insurance company may cover the majority of costs for towing. Check your policy to ensure. Another thing that you can do is join the AAA (American Auto Association), which offers many good services to it's members, including reduced towing rates.

Do you have to resit your driving test at age 75 in England?

First of all........welcome to AMERICA. Secondly, use the 'spell check' before sending requests. Thirdly, get a membership to something like AAA (Triple A). That's American Automobile Association. They can be found in the phone book, or on the web. Membership cost vary from state to state. I would suggest getting the 'Plus' plan, if going with AAA. The PLUS membership will tow your vehicle for one hundred (100) miles, where as the standard membership is free for, I believe, the first three miles. After which you are at the mercy of the towing company for whatever the going rate is per additional mile. There are other advantages also, but check the site.

i am getting my service and mot tomorrow morning,,?

You may as well have it towed straight to a reliable auto shop because it will get towed if you leave it behind on the highway somewhere. then you will have a few more expenses to deal with,not to mention having to track down the towing company that took your car.;
