What happens when Gasoline comes in contact with your skin?

Today I got gas all over my clothes and hands. Can I be harmed from this?

Possibly if you have sinsitive skin. Most likly not however. You might get a slight burn or redness. I have do so many times. Not to worry.

You could, but most likely not. If you have really sensitive skin maybe. But I get gas on me all the time. When I'm working on vehicles or even just putting gas in the lawn mower, but it I have never had a problem because of it. Maybe the fact that my hands really smelled like fuel but thats it. Unless you got it in your eyes or swallowed it I think you'll be fine. Good luck.

It will break down the oil on your skin and dry your skin out until you wash up. even then you will see some dryness. gas was often used as a solvent in some shops but do to how flamable it is they quit using it. it breaks down just about any type of grease and oil do to the detergents in it to help clean the motor and fuel systems.
