tickets and children are the ones who should have seat belts on! we pay something like 350.00 a ticket if your child is wearing one in your own car but 30 children on these big spacy unsafe buses don't even have one?
its all about making their pockets bigger not anything else! I will never pay a seatbelt ticket as long as their is not belts on school buses.
It's obviously telling people it's safer without !

also busses are not unsafe.their is few cars or trucks that can damage a bus to really hurt someone bad.also if they have seat belts they can only get 2 per seat and not 3.yea its about money in the sence.but busses are quite safe.Maybe you rode the short bus?We had them on our buses when I went to school, but no one ever wore them, and the bus driver never really checked either. The situation is probably the same now, the driver may make one check, but they don't have the time to make numerous checks during their drive, so the students will probably take them off anyway.
i dunno about the other states but i live in norcal, and i go to a middle school. our school was just told that we had to get seat belts in our buses. it would cost so much to replace the seats, so we just got brand new buses with the seat belts. our drivers do check, and if we arent wearing em then we get a bus sitation. they are so strict about it.
Why are there no commercials on tv for the green x code?
If you really do your research instead of just using car statistics, you will find that there have been studies done, and if you just add seat belts to buses without making modifications of the seats also, the injury rate goes UP not down. That is the only reason seat belts are NOT recommended on buses.----------

believe it or not, studies show that kids on a bus would not wear the belts. instead they use them as weapons. also i can't imagine a driver who can be sure that everyone is buckled in. it's hard enough to get them to and from school without a fight breaking out. on the other hand it would be nice to see at least elementary students with seat belts as, they are easier to control.More Questions & Answers ...
