Question about Viper security systems?

Question:
I was thinking of purchasing a Viper security system for my car. I wanted to get one of the three-way security systems with the LCD screen on the keychain. The only issue im having is that all the Viper three-way security systems that I've seen come with a remote car starter. I drive standard so I have no use for remote car starter. Does anyone know if there is a Viper three-way security system that does not come with a remote car starter? or are there any other good brands of car security systems out there. It seems strange to me that most of the security systems out there are geared towards cars are automatic since a lot of people who are really into cars drive standard. I have a 2000 Honda Accord EX coupe buy the way is that makes any difference.

Could the battery in a car key fob be a possible source of ignition whilst refuelling a petrol car?

I wouldn't advise getting a aftermarket car alarm. I have one on my mustang and i hate it. It was on the car when i got it and it will just go off randomly. Too much of a pain to take off and cutting the wires won't work.

The Viper 5000 or the new Viper 5002 are 2-way alarm systems without the remote start. Note that there are no authorized Viper dealers online; if you want a warranty, you'll have to buy from a retail shop and have them install it for you.

I'd also look into Compustar alarm systems. They aren't as well known as the Viper/DEI stuff, but they make some very good systems, including two-way alarm/remote start combinations that are designed specifically for manual transmissions. http://www.theinstallationshop.com/brows...

Ethan, why not contact an alarm dealer that can service your alarm system? Usually problems with false alarms can be fixed pretty easily. I've had an after-market alarm on my car for over four years now, and I've never had a problem with the alarm going off randomly. If all else fails, they probably wouldn't charge very much to disable the alarm or pull it out for you.
