no. it will not. the only way to get pure gas to explode is with extreme heat. basically fire. there is not enough heat in a cigarette to do this. gas fumes however are a different story. gas fumes are much much more explosive. gas fumes are put into your car engine, not pure liquid gas. however a cigarette is still not hot enough.keep this in mind however. though it is not likely. it is still a technicall possiblility. if there are enough fumes around the cigarette it can happon. its just very unlikely. being that a galon of gas can make a very big explisotion. its best practice to put out ur cig before inhaling gas fumes...

i would say no only because your taught that in school, however my friend chris anderson was smoking when he was 14 and heard his dad coming out side. dropped his cigarette into a bucket of gas that was next to him(his brother was rebuilding a carb) and to all our suprise blew up in flames. chris paniced, knocked the bucket over and now has third degree burns from his ankle to his knee, hes 26 now and still has problems with that area. all i'm saying is, wierd **** happensIf it is illegal to drink and drive, why do Bars have parking lots??
