Question:
All driving school cars are small for manouverability and have unsuitable pedals,he tends to hit two pedals with one foot, can he take a test with bare feet ?? obviously when he buys a car it could be modified for him but not sure where to go for a driving school car that might suit
Answers:
Can drowsy drivers be as dangerous to the road as drunk drivers?
A friend of mine had a similar problem although his feet aren't that big,he's 6'7.He learnt to drive in a 2 door automatic Focus. He learnt to use his left foot for braking and his right for just the accelerator.
He said that the Focus seat went far enough back and down that this made driving comfortable and by not having to move his feet from one peddle to another this overcame the problem of his feet hitting both peddles. (size 13 UK)
I would ring around the driving schools and speak to them about the cars and whether they would be suitable for him. As for driving in bare feet i am pretty sure that it is illegal to drive in bare feet.
Are dogs allowed in front seat whilst driving?
get Private if you know any one who has got a space cruiser or something similar then he can use his own car (my friend passed in her own car)good luck!
Do you have to have a license to drive? Should DMVs test at all?
Yes he can take a test in bare feet, but steering wheel must be held in his hands.Crikey, that's going to be fun! All I can suggest is to ring around various schools/instructors. I know there's one near here who has a bigger Hyundai, tho' I'm not sure about the pedals.
I keep getting ice on the drivers side interior windows of my car, any ideas?
Not sure what size 17 translates to here in the states. But I am 6'6 and have a size 14 foot. He will have to learn to get used to the position of the pedals, it’s a fact of life. Our big boats get in the way of everything. Something that will help him out the most is to locate an instructor who owns a car with power seats. Most power seats allow a wide range of adjustments that should help him feel more comfortable in the car. They also tend to move farther back then the normal manual slide seats. This should give him enough room to work the pedals. I find it more comfortable to drive with the tip of my toes instead of my whole foot. But that’s just me. I'm more comfortable driving that way. But I have also spent a lot of time adjusting myself in to cars. Have him pick one car while he is learning to drive and stick with it. He will find it gets easier as time goes by and you learn where to put your feet. Hope this helps. Is it illegal to have sex in a car while driving on the freeway?
my brother is 6ft 4inch and has size 14 feet, he learned to drive in a ford focus with the AA. now he has passed his test he drives a vauxhall corsa and has plenty of room. Can I also have someone under 18 in the car if i have my permit?
automatic car he can use for test.Ltz 400 ... 2007 street legal??
It's not illegal to drive barefoot, in spite of persistent myths. I have the links to US states only, don't have a link to UK driving laws handy, but I've never found a country where it is illegal, only rumors. Some driving instructors recommend removing loose footwear and heels. I'd think he should be able to take the test barefoot, as any legal footwear should be okay for taking it.More Questions & Answers ...
