Every couple of years we hear about another person who thinks it's funny to drop things from bridges onto the highways below. I had some douchebag kids drop 2 bricks on my car the other night... my car's $3000 to fix and I lost about 6 hours that night with stopping there, then going to the hospital (because one brick came through the windshield and hit me). The kids had done it the past couple of weekends and were about to do it again on Monday night... they had stolen some more bricks from a construction site, packed them into the car, threw some at a house (whose owner called the police and that's how they got caught), then drove to a bridge and were stopping and turning off their lights when the police caught them. So they had no intention of stopping. Then the other day they went to juvi and denied they did anything... and covered their faces when they walked in. The one's this scrawny little kid with this long greasy hair... and the other one plays a lot of sports.

Your lucky to be alive.I don't think I've ever met anyone who thought it was funny,either as a child,nor an adult.I think it's because of a lack of supervision and a lack of things for kids to do to stay out of trouble like this in most larger cities and towns.I just read your updates,and agree with why you're upset.If I had it my way,these kids who find it a joke should be locked in rooms with the victims and their families for at least 30 minutes,no holds barred.
BUT... maybe seeing the pictures and films of the devastation they caused could make them think about what really happens...

those kids should have to pay for all the damage that they did. and not with their parents money either. if they don't have the cash then they should have to do some kind of community service type thing. D-BAGS!!Sorry to hear about that happening to you--i read somewhere some kids did it with a jar of acid, burned some poor womans face up badly.. why they think its funny is beyond me, but i agree with you..put them in a car, and let people throw stuff down on them. id launch a bowling ball and maybe a couple bricks.

I agree, it all comes down to spanking being child abuse and stupid nonsence like that. Personally, I think kids have gotten worse, and not only should the parents have to pay for it, there should be manditory sentences for the parents to spend time in jail as well, and I also think there should be stiffer laws for persons 12 to 17. This stuff shouldn't be exponged from their records when they turn 18.Can visual(like illusions) misconceptions cause road accidents?
All kids do stupid things for many reasons, but there should be a line, something like a juvanile misderminor, and juvanile felony.

A lot of young kids do stuff like this. The parents should have to pay.You're lucky to be alive. A couple of the local shitbags were caught after dropping a large rock off of an overpass that killed a woman when it came through the windshield and hit her. They (and their idiot parents) couldn't understand why they were convicted of 2nd degree murder (as adults) and sent to prison for 25-to-life.
It was in the news in GB a few years back, that someone had threw a brick at a lorry windscreen from a motorway bridge. The driver managed to pull over safely before a heart attack put him out of action, but what would have happened had he just lost control?
