What are the child car seat laws for Missouri?

Question:
Can a 9 1/2 month old that is over 20lbs. be in a face forward seat? I have a big boy seat for him and it says after 20lbs I can put him in it, but should he still be backwards? If so what are the weight requirment for turning him face forward. Backwards is just really awkward because you can't even see him.

So it is legal for him to face forward but as a missori child passenger safety technitian I say keep in rear facing for as long as you can @ least until they are one yr old. Even though they don't like it, they are safer.
