Is it normal for a 2000 VW Beetle to have only 2 seatbelts in the back?
I personally have never seen published "weight limits" when it comes to the safety of airbags. Generally, the cut-off is children under the age of 12 should be in the back seat. If I had to guess on the weight, I would agree with Sienna, 100 lbs. sounds about right.Seatbelt problems in 02 Yukon?

Federal testing requires air bags to be safe for an average-sized adult male (5 feet 7 inches tall and 170 pounds) and a small adult female (5 feet tall and 100 pounds) wearing seat belts in collisions up to 30 mph. The air bags must also be safe for a small adult female who is not wearing a seat belt in a collision up to 25 mph.Hope this is what your looking for..
