When will the IRL close its doors.?
Because there are such a large number of cars on the road, there are a very high number of fatalities and injuries resulting from car accidents. Given that planes don't very often have accidents, there is a relatively small number of people who are injured in planes when compared to cars. Just think of all of the people you know - more than likely several of them have been involved in car accidents, some may have even suffered injury. Now ask everyone you know if they or anyone they know has ever been injured in a plane accident. I'd be surprised if you find any that have. Air travel is much safer overall but when there is an accident there are usually multiple injuries and a greater chance that there will be fatalities. How many miles driving per day is considered unsafe for professional drivers?
Yes statistics say airplanes are safer but I still feel totally in control on the ground. On Earth you're in control with your own Vehicle and you know who's riding with you. should you pass on the right when driving?
The stat is arrived at by comparing the number of passenger vehicles on the road with the number of airplanes in active service and the number of passenger they carry. Then you look at the number of accidents for both and find that when compared to each other, given the above information, there are far fewer incidents of accidents and fatalities in air travel than in automobiles, relatively speaking. This is relative, because far more people drive than fly, so the actual numbers are represented by percentage points.Safe software process - is there such a beast ?
