How do you convince parents to let you get your license?
Each booster will have a weight rating stamped or on a label. Don't rely on guesstimates here. When driving a car; besides coming to 'complete stop' what other kinds of 'stop' are there?
A 40-pound child is not big enough to fit lap and shoulder belts properly.Children who reach 40 pounds before age 3 may not be mature enough to stay seated properly in a belt-positioning booster. A vest that uses the belt system and a tether strap would be an option in this situation
I agree with rrrevils answer that there should be a plate or stamp on the seat with the EXACT weight rating that it is intended for. If your child or someone else's child exceeds that particular #, then a new seat is in order. In any event it is NOT an expense so much as it is an investment in the safety of the child. And the law... hope this helps.
Yup, each seat has their own recommendations.
Do the pedestrian cross walking buttons ever work?
Regardless of their specific recommendations, though, boosters aren't really safe for children under age 4.
I have just failed my driving test?
If you have a child younger than 4, but higher than 40 lbs (which is the weight limit for most toddler seats) there are a number of seats that allow higher weight harnessing, like the Cosco Apex, the Britax Marathon, or the Sunshine Kids Radian.
The weight limit for a booster is from 80 to 100 i think.
But to outgrow the booster it can be from weight or height , to not use the booster anymore i think the child has to be at least 4 feet and 9 inches tall.
They must also pass the 5 step test to use just a seatbelt.
Check with the booster seat you have , in the manual it will say what the weight limit is.
